Monday, January 13, the volume of trading bitcoin options traded on the Chicago Mercantile exchange (CME) surpassed $2 million Bakkt failed to achieve such success in more than a month.
Looks like 55 contracts went through on CME’s BTC Options first day of trading, approx. $2.3 mln notional.
100% were Calls.

Volume on the CME was 55 contracts, or 275 BTC. All the contracts were call options.
On Bakkt managed to pass the mark of $1 million only a month after the launch of the derivatives.

In the commentary edition of The Block Executive Director CME Tim McCourt said that feedback from market participants has been positive.
We will remind, some hours before the CME trading bitcoin options exchange launched FTX supported Binance. According to its representatives, the volume has crossed $1 million in just two hours.
