Ripple announced the rebranding of products and investment in cryptocurrency wallet BRD

Payment system xCurrent and corporate payment API xVia from FINTECH-companies Ripple included in the common brand RippleNet. Simultaneously, the California-based company has invested $750,000 in purse BRD, which now adds support for token XRP.

On rebranding the existing product line representatives Ripple said in an interview with the Japanese edition of Morningstar. Cross-border payment system xRapid-based token XRP will be referred to as the «liquidity on demand».

«Instead of buying xCurrent xVia or clients will connect to the network RippleNet on-premises or the cloud, instead of buying xRapid they will use the liquidity available on request. This is not a new products and rebranding existing products. This is a small change that will not affect our customers», – said in Ripple.

The company said the rebranding is intended to emphasize its mission of creating a full-fledged payment network, not a set of disparate products.

Corresponding changes were also made to Ripple, where RippleNet is now being touted as «a comprehensive corporate solution».

Meanwhile, the Ripple also said that Xpring is investing $750,000 in the famous cryptocurrency wallet BRD (formerly known as Bread). This financing is positioned as part of a company’s efforts at creating the «Internet of value».

Strategic partnership with BRD «will allow users of the wallet to hold, buy, sell XRP to anyone in the world», says Ripple. BRD also supports bitcoin, Cash Bitcoin, Ethereum, tokens ERC-20 and DAI.

Last year, BRD has attracted $32 million in the course of supply of coins (ICO). Token BRD offers holders discounts and other preferential terms. In early 2019, the developers of the wallet has attracted an additional $15 million from Japanese SBI Holdings.
