p2p platform for buying and selling bitcoin LocalBitcoins posted to its website a warning about the risks of using privacy-oriented browser Tor.
According to LocalBitcoins, its users are exposed to the risk of theft of bitcoins, while not explaining the reasons for such statements.
Warning almost immediately drew criticism from representatives of the community. Security specialist-transaction Richard Bensberg in his Twitter said that the platform is completely «lost touch with reality.»

In response to the entry of Bensberg representatives LocalBitcoins noted that Tor does not contradict conditions of use of the platform, although not recommended «for safety reasons».
Using a Tor browser is not against LocalBitcoins’ Terms of Service, even though it is has not been recommended for security reasons.

We will remind, it not the first case when LocalBitcoins becomes the object of criticism from the cryptocurrency community.
