Hardwork was successfully implemented at block 321 321 according to the plan described in the roadmap of the project. With him to the Protocol of the Beam was attached a specially designed variation of the hashing algorithm EquiHash called Beam II Hash and introduced a new minimum Commission for performing transaction.
This is the first of two planned forks of the Beam.
Beam CEO Alexander Seidelman in conversation with Messari announced that the main task of hard forks was «to give a signal to developers of ASIC devices that begin to work on the miners until the second fork makes no sense».
Currently, Beam is the 112-th asset on the market in terms of capitalization.
Beam was launched in the beginning of this year as the first cryptocurrency Protocol privacy Mimblewimble. Beam hides information about the addresses in the public blockchain makes transactions private by default. The launch of cryptocurrency was made without premine and ICO.
Earlier hardwork were in the second blockchain cryptocurrency Protocol Mimblewimble – Grin.
